About Amber

Amber, a native Iowan, graduated from Hawkeye Community College, a community college located in Waterloo, Iowa that has a photography program ranked among the top in the nation, in 2002. After completing a degree in Photojournalism and Portraiture, she fine-tuned her PhotoShop skills as a digital retoucher. Realizing that sitting behind a computer provided her little opportunity to work with people, she quickly decided to return to attend Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa to become an art teacher.

After relocating to Texas in 2006 in pursuit of her dream to help students find their inner artist, she found out that being a teacher provided her with ample free time to continue pursuing her favorite hobby, photography. She is an art teacher Monday through Friday, but she has the honor of photographing families, children, engagements, weddings, etc. on the weekends and throughout the summer. As Amber does not have a studio, she does on-location photo shoots only, but that never limits the creative possibilities. Each client is treated as an individual, and she ensures every client’s photos are unique and creates the right “impression” to meet each client’s needs. This idea also provided the inspiration for the name of her business. Overall it is Amber’s goal to create lasting images of your life’s most important moments without costing an arm and a leg.
